CLDR maps regions to the money in circulation, with per-region start and end dates and a legal-tender flag — facts ISO 4217's own export does not carry. The currency CODES are ISO 4217's; CLDR never mints one. Codes from ISO 4217. The register the codes come from. It answers what a code means and who issues one — not which money circulates where, which is what a country page asks. Retrieved via Unicode CLDR — common/supplemental/supplementalData.xml.

The REGISTER — which properties are inscribed, under which country, in which year — comes from Wikidata under CC0. The DESIGNATION is UNESCO's, and nothing of UNESCO's is carried: their World Heritage Centre is recorded no-go in this project's licence dossier (republication needs prior written authorisation, personal and non-commercial use only, no framing, no emblem). A site's NAME and inscription YEAR are facts; a site's DESCRIPTION is UNESCO's own expression and was never queried, so no field in this table could carry one. The only thing taken from UNESCO is a site number, which builds a link back to them. Codes from UNESCO World Heritage List. The register the site numbers come from. It answers which properties are inscribed; the per-country table is built from Wikidata's record of them. Retrieved via Wikidata Query Service (SPARQL).

Modified by Aletheia: rows carrying no P757 (World Heritage Site ID) dropped — without one a row could never be linked back to the authority (3,736 → 1,763); collapsed onto the NUMERIC STEM of P757, because UNESCO's own bis/ter/quater/rev suffixes are one inscription extended, not several sites (1,526 → 1,273); where several rows share a stem, the NAME comes from the row whose P757 is the bare inscription id (^\d+(bis|ter|quater|rev)?$), never a `-NNN` component id — the choice was previously whichever row arrived first; no World Heritage entry is held for Kosovo (XK), and Serbia's entry may or may not include sites located there — the source does not say, so rendering a count either way would settle a disputed question by arithmetic.

Placement is Wikidata's P131 ('located in the administrative territorial entity') walked upward until it reaches an entity whose P1566 is a GeoNames ADM1 id — the same identifiers lib/worldplaces-admin1.ts is generated from. No geometry is involved: no ADM1 polygon exists in this project, and a coordinate cannot be placed in a region without one.

Modified by Aletheia: of the register's sites, only those whose P131 chain reaches a GeoNames ADM1 region are in this table (1,273 → 1,023); placements whose ADM1 belongs to a country the register does not file the site under are recorded here and NOT shipped — a P131 chain that crosses a border must not put a site on another country's region page (1,231 → 1,224); inverted from site→regions to region→sites, keyed by GeoNames region code, names deliberately omitted (they come from lib/countryHeritage.ts per country).

Two GeoNames exports compiled into the app: cities1000 (populated places of 1,000 or more) becomes lib/worldplaces-data.ts, and admin1CodesASCII becomes lib/worldplaces-admin1.ts, the state/province names the picker shows above a city. The raw dumps are NOT committed - only the trimmed, compact tables ship. Retrieved via GeoNames export dump.

Modified by Aletheia: seven of the geoname table's columns kept - asciiname, latitude, longitude, country code, admin1 code, population and IANA timezone - and the source's remaining fields discarded; rows missing a name, a latitude, a longitude or a timezone dropped, because a place the picker cannot place or clock is not one it can offer; collapsed on name plus country plus admin1 code, so one settlement recorded twice under the same province appears once; latitude and longitude rounded to 4 decimal places, about 11 metres - ample for weather and daylight at a settlement, and not the source's full precision; the source's tab-delimited records rewritten as positional tuples, which is a change of carriage and not of value.
